The Governor's Rooms have been newly renovated according to a concept that combines traditional materials and motifs with modern luxury. Teak and silk are used lavishly throughout the rooms, while typical Burmese patterns have been worked into a contemporary design. Furthermore, hi-tech conveniences such as flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi Internet access are included in the room amenities.
The bed space, either king-size or twin queen-size, is distinguished by a canopy in carved teakwood, while a silk shade screen at the foot of the bed adds a feeling of privacy. Other room facilities include a writing desk, a 26-inch LCD TV screen and a minibar.
Each Governor’s Room has an en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a large walk-in shower, hidden behind ornate double doors decorated with silk panels and elaborate Burmese woodcarvings.
